Summary Advice Program

APB operates an extensive network of summary legal advice clinics throughout the province. Clients can make appointments through our Vancouver office and, in some instances, directly through the local clinic. Our volunteer lawyers provide up to a half-hour of free legal advice to clients, and additional appointments may be available.

Our pro bono lawyers provide summary legal advice to low- and modest-income individuals on a wide range of legal issues, including family, immigration, criminal, and civil law (such as debt, employment, welfare, and housing).

A map and list of our current clinic locations is available here.

To book a clinic appointment, please follow the 3 steps outlined on our main page. Our Summary Legal Advice Program adopts the same financial eligibility requirements for legal advice set out by the Legal Service Society (LSS). To find out if you qualify for legal advice, see Do I qualify for legal advice?

To cancel a clinic appointment, please provide us a notice at least two full business days prior to your appointment. You may phone our client line at 604.878.7400 to complete the cancellation.
