Volunteer with Us
Everything we do is powered by the spirit of volunteerism. We engage 1000s of volunteers in a variety of frontline and support roles. If you're interested in helping British Columbians solve their legal problems, we have a volunteer role for you.

Volunteer as a Lawyer
We offer a wide range of frontline service roles for lawyers. They include giving advice in our community legal clinics, representing clients in courts or tribunals, and providing free consultations through our Lawyer Referral Service. We also provide training and support to volunteer lawyers.
Other Volunteer Opportunities
We also offer a wide range of volunteer roles for alternative legal service providers and people with no legal training. They include direct service roles for paralegals, notaries, mediators and articling students, and support roles for post-secondary students and others.
Volunteering with APB has helped me to better understand access to justice issues in my community. By serving at the neighbourhood clinic, I'm making a positive difference in people's lives."

APB Clinic Lawyer
I’ve really appreciated the opportunity to work with the staff and volunteer lawyers at APB. My experiences have taught me the value of pro bono service, and have inspired me to apply to law school."
